Jaksta Media Recorder for Windows for Windows Technical Support Forum

can make auto mode working

 Hi guys,

i am on windows 10, tried all browsers - Chrome, Mozilla, IE but i can't get auto mode working.  When i paste link from youtube - i can save video, but when auto mode is on and i open the youtube URL in the browser, the jaksta media recorder does not react at all. I have latest jaksta available on your web.

Thanks

Hi,

Some things to check:

1. Ensure you are monitoring the correct network interface. Settings > Internet Downloads

2.  Ensure AUTO is on before you go to a page containing video to download.

If your still having issues please provide debug log as per https://support.jaksta.com/discussions/topics/6000009063 for AUTO detecting a youtube video.

Thanks

Hi,

thanks for your reply

1. I have local ethernet adapter there and 3 adapters called "Microsoft" I tried all of the "Microsoft" and none of them worked.  Also I tried capturing traffic with Wireshark and I was successful which proved that one of the "Microsoft" adapters i have is functional.

2. yep, i was enabling "auto mode" before I was opening youtube site.

is there a way to pass you logs bypassing the forum messages? I do not want to share my logs with whole audience of this forum.

also I noticed that once I enable auto mode, the IE gets proxy setup to "localhost:4444" however despite jaksta is running I cannot telnet to localhost:4444 (refused). IE says it can't connect to the proxy as well. Is there anything I can do to make the proxy working?

thanks

Your logs don't contain any personal information, but you can email them to me support AT jaksta.com if you wish.

Glad to hear that it is working.

Should work in FF as well.  Check FF is set to use the system proxy. In FF,  Main Menu > Options > Advanced > Settings

Also for good measure reinstall the CA into FF.   Close FF and then in JMR, Settings > Internet Downloads > Advanced > HTTP > Reinstall FireFox HTTPS Monitor button.

Your browser has requested two downloads the first was for 1280x720 and the second was for 1920x1080.  That is why you have two downloads.

Hi,

thanks, . I cleaned proxies in IE and it started to catch streams in auto mode!

I got two more questions if you can help please.

How may i make it working in firefox (not critical thing, happy to stay in IE)?

why does JMR records two streams from each video? I tried setup to pick up always highest quality but it records two files of the same video. Also I tried answering manually which quality/stream i want, but it still records two streams :(

The screenshot is below:

Thanks

Hi Eugene,

Looks like you have another proxy server set

The one in blod is the only one we set and it points to JMR's internal proxy.  Not sure what has set the rest but having local proxy's like that is very unusual unless your using a product like Jaksta.

Do the following to clear all proxy settings

Close Jaksta Media Recorder

Start Internet Explorer

Click the Tools button.

Click on Internet Options.

Click on the Connections tab.

Click LAN settings.

Make sure all addresses are clear and your not using any proxy.

Start JMR and try again.
