i have version 7.0.2.9 and I have no sound on downloaded file when played on playstation 3. I can view through windows media player on my laptop and sound and video work fine. my playstation can play WMV files, which is what the downloaded file is. I get an error massage saying there is no audio avail.

Depends on the codec inside the WMV container. PS3 only supports WMA inside of WMV container.
Did you use a playstation conversion setting? Please provide debug logs showing the conversion process, or try one of the other ones (MP4 etc)
